Peter and Paul, twelve-year-old twin brothers from rural Trinidad, despite their outward resemblance, are completely different in their mental and emotional composition: the former is considered a genius destined to have a bright future, the latter is "strange". When Paul is abducted, their father is faced with a terrible dilemma: to save him by ransoming the money he has secured for the studies of his "charismatic" child or to sacrifice him?
